Poem by Lauriel Gray

It didn’t take an hour shower to know the power of recuperation’. Was less debatin’, cause lotion, know my potion, to feel good — James Brown.

Across my town I will shed my light. And never out of sight or mind will I become.

Because Stop Taking Lives is where I’m from. To know my place in STL will help me cool down this reigning hell.

So my rain with no pain, will leave a streaming stain with my name.

―Lotus Laurel it is again. Thank you for listening. My dearest of friends.

Now, and ever, until we meet again.
