SUBMISSIONS ARE Open!

Are you a writer, poet, storyteller, playwright, musician, lyricist, or visual artist? Outside Literary Magazine wants your work! Submissions for Issue 7 are open to all high school students in Saint Louis Public Schools. From poems to comics, songs to short films, short stories to paintings, and everything in between—show us what you want to show the world.

Where TO SEND

Send your submission via email to outside@stlouispoetrycenter.org with your personal information and attached file. Submissions are due March 31st by midnight. 

WHAT TO SEND

PERSONAL INFORMATION

  • Name and pronouns
  • SLPS email address
  • Instagram handle
  • English and/or Art teacher’s name
  • High school name
  • Grade level

Visual Art or Literary PieceS

  • List the titles for all submitted pieces
  • Literature: Submit up to 10 poems or stories and essays up to 5,000 words each.
  • Visual Art/Multimedia: Submit high-resolution jpg, png, mov, mp4, wav, or pdf files electronically. You may also submit via Instagram to @OutsideLitMag, and if accepted, will need to send high quality file for publication. If your file is too large to email, you may also share your visual art submission via Dropbox or WeTransfer.
