In sunny light, we laugh among ourselves,
The cafe is filled with students of all grades.
A teacher claps as we put on our listening ears,
Looking now, this memory fades.
I used to know everybody’s names,
Now, I only know a few.
It’s crazy because we used to all play tag,
But life changes; what can I do?
Life then used to be so simple,
The only problem was nap time.
Little kids with round faces and fat cheeks,
If only I could go back at the drop of a dime.
I’m at the end of my childhood,
I hope everything else in life is just as good.
